Diagonal letters like X,V,W,K R get the slanted strokes more distorted than the rectilinear ones. check stem weights of your uprights for reference.4 -

Cheap and good are not the same. Remember back when Jos released free fonts? A person starting out does not have the luxury of a seasoned successful designer with corporate backing.1
